Big, Beautiful Pine Plains Victorian, $215,000
Kandy Harris | June 25, 2015All we needed to see was “$92/sq. ft.” and we were sold on this 3228 square foot Victorian in northern Dutchess County. It seems fairly turn-key, but oh could we have fun with the spacious interior, starting in the kitchen, which is roomy but bland. What’s the consensus on checkerboard flooring these days? We’re on the fence about it. We are not, however, on the fence about our love of that big bay window in the living room. Sits on a .62 acre corner lot in the hamlet of Pine Plains, walking distance to the local market, library, shops, etc. Since it’s got 4 bedrooms, could be perfect for a large family or those who simply long to ramble around a Civil War-era Victorian. Show of hands, who else is up for that last part? We would be, too, if it wasn’t for the tax bill, which comes out to around $12,000/year.
5 Myrtle Avenue, Pine Plains (Sotheby’s)
