Brick Italianate Victorian in Catskill, $215,000
Upstater Staff | January 5, 2015Should we coin the word “brick-torian” now? Think it will catch on? Lame portmanteaus aside, we are crushing hard on this brick 3-story beauty located in the Greene County village of Catskill. There’s plenty enough room inside (at least the photos make the interior look spacious), and if you’re lucky enough to score a bedroom on the second floor, you get your own balcony entrance. Here’s the other thing we like about this property: Dutchmans Landing Park is pretty much in the backyard, and that’s one of our favorite public parks in the Hudson Valley. Gorgeous views of the river from there, and there’s even a trail that will take you through the woods and out into one of the nearby neighborhoods, which is downright lousy with beautiful historic homes. Small lot size, but again, big park in the backyard. That’s good enough for us.
