Although this Chatham, N.Y. farmhouse for sale is on a busier road than I’d prefer, it has a lot going for it. It’s really the perfect distance from town — 1.5 miles — so you can really feel like you’re in the countryside but get thee to the toy store in a jiffy, should you need that. Beautiful grounds, just the right amount of acreage for my taste, at five acres. Cute little outbuilding. My complaint, as always, is the lack of kitchen photos. The place is in “move-in condition,” which is not the same thing as mint. So let’s just see what it is we’re getting into so we know how much we’ll need to invest to make it the kitchen of our dreams, right? As with other properties we’ve looked at around here, reasonable taxes, at $2,700. Stats on the jump.
