A Dauntless Mix of Old and New in Goshen, $319,500
Sam Benedict | December 24, 2015One of the things on our Christmas wish list this year is a home with some spunk, that has people wide-eyed, stopping in the street. This roaring 20’s Colonial in Goshen certainly fits the bill. This home is classically elegant, with some bold updates. We love the blend of modern and antique in the kitchen. The stainless steel appliances bring the wood paneling on the walls back to life and compliment the granite countertops wonderfully.
This mix of old and new is all through the home but screams at us from that statement-making front door. What a focal point! Beautifully constructed with glass paneling, this door might have gotten lost in the flat façade if it weren’t for its color. Fear not, it is painted an unmistakable regal red. Daring but we like it!
With almost 1,800 sq.ft., this home has plenty of dancing space, for you “Charleston” lovers out there. Each room is large and spacious and flows into the next. The crown molding gives an old-timey feel to this mixed modern home and gives it a clean and elegant look. Located within walking distance of the many shops and restaurants Goshen has to offer, this home might go to the top of our list. Dare I say, worthy of the name Gatsby.
