We have a sneaking suspicion that this 3-bedroom cottage in the Delaware County village of Delhi is cuter than the somewhat dreary photos imply. It’s certainly different, and we like a few of the touches, such as the stained glass window in the living room, the open storage in the kitchen (and the color; we think it’s brighter than it appears), the old-fashioned farmhouse doors, and the fact that it’s on over an acre of land less than a mile from the Trailways bus stop and the rest of this quaint and picturesque village. Word of caution: It’s on the Delaware River, and Floodsmart.gov puts it at high risk for flooding. Bummer. In general, however, Delhi is one of our favorite places in the Catskills to go bargain hunting.
