Design*Sponge + Ulster County = LOVE (and a cool map)

This is NOT the cool map that we’re referring to in our headline, although we think old maps are pretty cool. No, we’re referring to the very cool, very new map illustration by Libby VanderPloeg featured on Design*Sponge’s recent guide to Ulster County. If Libby’s name sounds familiar to you, it’s because she has illustrated some maps we’ve used in the pages of Upstater Magazine. Like this one, from Bike Like a Yogi:

The guide itself hits on all the Ulster County hotspots, including Kingston, Woodstock, Phoenicia, New Paltz, Saugerties, and High Falls, suggesting go-to destinations for staying, eating, drinking, shopping, listening to live music, and other fun frivolity in the mid-Hudson Valley/Catskills. And, they also hipped us to the Hasbrouck House (formerly the Inn at Stone Ridge), which is being renovated and slated to open in 2016.
