So you were about to deem this coming weekend lazy after last weekend’s plethora of festivals. Well, sorry to disappoint you, but you’re not into weekend hibernation just yet, for this weekend, we welcome the Woodstock Film Festival. This year marks its 15th anniversary of showcasing “fiercely independent” filmmakers. There’s a bumper crop of movies scheduled at a few different venues, so make sure you check out the festival website for times and locations.  The closing awards ceremony will include the presentation of this year’s Maverick Award to director Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan and The Wrestler). Guess you’ll have to postpone revisiting your neglected Netflix queue for at least one more weekend. Don’t worry, though. Winter is just around the corner.
