Five Figure Friday: Pine Plains Farmhouse, $85,000
Kandy Harris | May 9, 2014For about $30/square foot, this c.1820 eyebrow Colonial farmhouse could be all yours, and we’re seeing potential for a lovely update here. We’re just eye-balling it, but it seems an addition was added to the original farmhouse, which almost looks like it might have been a retail space at some point (if someone knows about this house, please let us know). And it certainly needs some updating and fixing up, but overall, not too scary. There also seems to be a proliferation of shelves and French doors in this house. We need a floor plan to understand the layout. The pictures don’t seem to tell the story. Pine Plains is in Dutchess County about 15 miles east of Red Hook and 10 miles west of Millerton on the CT border. The property is just north of the hamlet.
