We’ve covered eco-friendly real estate in the Catskills here at Upstater in the past — how to find it, who builds it, etc. But here’s another source: a piece over on Watershed Post about who builds sustainable housing in upstate New York, what makes it green, how to get information on energy efficiency, etc. “[Paul] McGinniss advises seeking out a home inspector who’s up to speed on green and being present for the inspection,” they write. “Once you find a property with possibilities, reach out to the growing network of sustainability specialists for further information.” More info on those specialists on their site.
