Let’s Take a Walk This Week on Upstater
Kandy Harris | March 23, 2015One of the best things about living in the Upstater area is that you have a choice. If you want to live out in the boonies away from everyone (and conveniences like timely snow removal), you can. If you want to live somewhere close to civilization where you can walk to the local deli to grab a cup of a coffee and a paper in the morning, you can. In fact, it’s the latter that will be the focus of our property posts this week. Places like Saugerties, Kingston, Hudson, and Rhinebeck are well-known for their walkable charms, but there are so many other places that are just as walkable, just as charming, and just as teeming with available real estate (like the Delaware County village of Stamford, for example, depicted above). So head over to your favorite breakfast haunt, get yourself some of their famous java, and come with us as we explore walkable small towns in the Hudson Valley and Catskills. You can leave your car parked right there. You won’t be needing it.
