There’s a plethora of chalet-style houses around the ski mountains in the Catskills. We like this one because it eschews the standard A-frame/front peak, making it unique. Not terribly large, 1080 square feet, but it’s on 2 acres, and from the looks of things on GMAP, it’s fairly secluded, tucked away up north of the village of Margaretville. Nice big stone fireplace in the living room, and although it’s tough to tell from the photos, we suspect the view from the front porch is pretty. Taxes are low.
