Mark Ruffalo Campaigns for NYS Solar Jobs
Upstater | June 18, 2012Anti-hydrofracking activist and actor (and Calicoon resident) Mark Ruffalo has a new video, encouraging New York State to pass the Solar Jobs Act. If it passes, utility companies will have to purchase solar energy credits, meaning we’ll all have more clean energy and, if Ruffalo’s calculations pan out, more jobs. (Not surprisingly, utility companies are against the bill.)
Ruffalo is using solar energy on his own homestead, which is costing him some $9,000 to lease, he told the Sullivan County Democrat.
