Mohegan Sun from the New York Post

Could the Mohegan Sun casino be coming to a Catskills town near you? If Mitch Etess, who runs the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, has his way, then yes. According to an article in the New York Post, Etess intends to partner up with Louis R. Cappelli, a developer located in Westchester County, to build a Mohegan casino on the site of the old Concord resort in Kiamesha Lake, Sullivan County. The article goes on to state that Etess intends the new casino to be a “destination” casino. By the way, Etess is the grandson of Jennie Grossinger. If that names rings a bell, it should: Jennie Grossinger owned the Grossinger Hotel in the Sullivan County town of Liberty.
