Oh, and you thought we were going to say Hudson. According to the Community Heartbeat blog, the best town for artists in upstate New York is in fact Kingston. They specify the Rondout at the spot, citing its art galleries. Hm, is that all it takes? Might also be the huge artists’ loft building that’s supposedly in the works, and the decent rent.
