Victorian Mini-Mansion near Kingston’s Rondout District, $389,900
Kandy Harris | May 5, 2015At a hair shy of 3000 square feet, this Victorian in downtown Kingston is not terribly mansion-sized. What it lacks in size requirements, however, it more than makes up for it in heaping scoops of class and refinement. If you’re considering floral wallpaper, take a cue from the formal dining room in this house and adjust accordingly. This might be the only time we’ve found floral wallpaper attractive, so kudos all around. Some of the deets include ornate exterior flourishes on the second story, tall ceilings and windows, crown molding, parquet flooring with inlays, wainscotting over the rocking chair porch, bay windows, and pocket doors. The back courtyard is neatly landscaped, and it’s located within a stone’s throw of Kingston’s Rondout waterfront neighborhood, where all the cool kids hang out. By cool kids, we mean people who enjoy good restaurants, boutique shops, beautiful architecture, and art galleries.
