This Week on Upstater: Revel in the Renovated Homes of the Hudson Valley & Catskills
Staff | February 20, 2017Everything old is new again. That’s right; it’s time to look at the renovated homes on the residential real estate market in the Hudson Valley and Catskills.
Let’s start with the house depicted above. Original built in 1820, this eyebrow Colonial in Pine Plains, Dutchess County has a facade reminiscent of its vintage charm. Meanwhile, the interior shines with a modern update (oh, that kitchen!) while rough-hewn exposed beams and plank flooring help keep the home in touch with its history.
Or, how about this brand-new renovation in the village of Catskill, Greene County? It’s an early Craftsman cottage, c.1890, with a 2000 square foot interior that’s as crisp as a new cotton sheet. The windows are our favorite feature.
