Shaded and Serene in this Croton Mid-Century Modern, $559K

We love this Croton Mid-Century Modern inside and out…

…but it wasn’t until we took a look at the Google Streetview that we really fell in love with this home’s surroundings. While the listing photos were taken in the winter with snow cover, the Streetview reveals this Zen-like environment:

The lot includes 1.47 acres of land with its own pond, which flows into a neighboring pond with a waterfall. And, it comes with seasonal views of the Hudson River, not far to the west.

And the house itself? It dates from 1964 and comes with five bedrooms, 2,000 square feet of interior space, large windows to provide views of the surroundings, and a stone fireplace. Floors are a mix of hardwood and tile.

The eat-in kitchen includes an adjacent formal dining room, as well as a pantry and laundry room.

Also comes with a screened-in porch for three-season use…

The property is just north of Croton-on-Hudson village in Westchester County, less than ten minutes from the Croton-Harmon Metro-North station. If you plan to drive to the city, it will take around a hour to do so from here. Hard to imagine it’s the close, though, when you consider its bucolic setting.
