Spirited Home on a Pond in the Midst of a Hudson City Oasis, $265,000
Kandy Harris | April 28, 2016We didn’t go out of our way to find an inexpensive house we loved in the city of Hudson. It just happened that way. Ultimately, we couldn’t resist the fun, surprisingly spacious interior, bathed in a wash of country white. A family of three of could comfortably here with 2000 square feet, 3 beds/1.5 baths, and they’d have themselves a nice little oasis, too boot.
And just exactly what, is an “oasis” in the midst of Hudson city? Take a look at the map and see for yourself:
See? Close to Warren Street, but situated on a pond with access to said pond from the home’s cute, private backyard complete with a garden and a detached studio space. We’re calling this one a real find in a city where it’s getting harder to find affordable properties as nice as this.
Speaking of nice things in Hudson, the Columbia County riverfront community is home to Hudson Pride Week, which has always been in Hudson, and will be “forever,” according to the event website. Hudson’s general vibe is festive, especially during the Hudson Farmer’s Market, Basilica Farm & Flea, Hudson River Exchange Summer Market, and the Upstreet Market, not to mention a little cluster of food trucks right on Warren Street. This property offers proximity to it all.
