Move right into this Cairo NY house with a backyard situated creekside…

It’s always nice to find a turn-key five-figure property, although they seem more elusive every day. That’s why we had to show you this one located in the Greene County hamlet of Cairo without delay.

Cairo is situated about 15 minutes northwest of Catskill village. It’s a sleepy place, to be sure, but surrounded by everything wonderful about the Catskills: Hiking, winter sports, waterways, farm stands, and picturesque towns. There’s a reason this area was so popular with resorts during the Borscht Belt days.

This house is front-and-center to Cairo hamlet, right off the main part of town. The Shingle Kill creek passes by the back this house, and shade trees provide a canopy to the .16-acre spot just large enough to plop a couple of chairs down and listen to the babbling water. One thing we did notice, however, is that the house next door neighbors with an auto shop. Not sure how that will affect the enjoyment of the creekside backyard. Something to consider.
