Cute, Cozy Craftsman Near the Heart of Downtown Warwick, $407K

  |  June 30, 2022

We’re winding up our little tour of Warwick listings with this cute, colorful house that’s perfect for a family who’s just starting out.

The two-bed, 1,274-square-foot Craftsman is relatively petite, but it’s a block from the Stanley Deming Park playground and a less-than-10-minute walk to the heart of downtown Warwick for goodies like candy from Fizzy Lifting Soda Pop Candy Shop.

It was built in 1915 and, along with a bright paint palette, holds onto the vintage charm of its heyday.

The entry showcases original hardwood floors and a sturdy, Craftsman-style staircase. If you aren’t digging the purple, it’s an easy fix.

The living room has a ceiling fan, hardwood flooring, and lots of windows.

More Craftsman touches abound in the columns separating the living room from the dining room, where a light sage tone sets a naturally relaxing mood. Sliding glass doors from the dining room lead to a backyard deck.

This kitchen is just too cute. We would hope the next owner appreciates the charm in the original cabinetry, scalloped header over the sink, and pine floorboards. We’d be willing to bet there’s a pull-down ironing board behind that white door on the wall.

There’s room for updates here, but let’s not kill the charm that remains. There’s also a laundry nook and half-bath on the main level.

Upstairs are two bedrooms that are a good size, with wood floors, closets, and nice-sized windows.

This room has a mini door to a storage area that’s either really cool or kinda creepy, depending on whether you’re a fan of horror movies or not. It also has a walk-in closet.

The full bath upstairs has a clawfoot tub and pedestal sink, plus room for extra furniture like that vintage sideboard. Again, it’s up to the next owner whether or not to update, renovate, or leave it as-is.

The house sits on a 0.15-acre lot, with a detached garage and fenced backyard.
