Cute Kingston Cottage in need of TLC, $94,900
Kandy Harris | August 11, 2015Kingston is a great place to look for a five-figure property in Ulster County…as long as you can put up with the taxes. It’s not unusual to find a home on a postage stamp lot, kind of like the cottage depicted here, with a five-figure price and a tax bill that is close to five-figures, as well. Still there’s a lot to like about this place (wood floors, French doors, a wood stove, high ceilings, bigger than it looks from the outside, located near the end of a dead-end residential street), but it needs work (one bath and at least one bedroom look to be in rough shape). Comes with an in-ground pool that looks pretty neglected and surrounded by a fence that might need to be torn down and rebuilt. And the taxes? Nearly $7300/year. Ouch. Sold as-is.
16 Apple Street, Kingston (Grist Mill Real Estate)
