Napanoch is Ellenville’s closest neighbor to the north. The little hamlet is sleepy yet charming with lots of old-fashioned houses and buildings lining its streets. This 1920s farmhouse is one such charming abode, situated on a corner lot near the center of town, and while the lot size isn’t huge, there’s space enough for a garden.
The interior looks updateable with an open kitchen + walk-in pantry, formal dining room, stained glass windows, and an enclosed porch off the side of the house. On the opposite side, the next door neighbor seems awfully close, so lots of privacy isn’t really an option here. However, it’s walking distance to the local general store, and a short drive east puts you right in Minnewaska State Park. We’ll also mention that the Ulster Correctional Facility is in Napanoch, just down the street from Wal-Mart, a couple of blocks from the famous and reportedly haunted Shanley Hotel. Interesting area, indeed.
