Hunter Mountain Village Gracious Victorian, $199,900
Kandy Harris | March 14, 2016Is Hunter a music town? For one weekend in the summer, it certainly becomes one. The Greene County ski village in the Catskills is home to Mountain Jam, an ever-growing music festival that includes heavy hitters like Beck and Wilco in this year’s line-up. That’s no small potatoes anymore, and it only serves to add to Hunter’s popularity not only as a winter sports destination, but a summer music destination, as well.
So, it stands to reason that some might want to make Hunter a second home. And if you’re one of those, check out this vintage farmhouse right in the center of the village priced at less than $200,000 (that’s a reasonable $53/sq. ft.). The crisp interior is all set for your sparkling design personality and comes with 4 beds/3 baths and a view of Hunter Mountain straight from the front porch. AirBnb material? Yeah, sure. Why not? Right now, there’s no bed tax in Greene County, but one was implemented in neighboring Delaware County late last year. Does that mean Greene County is far behind? Maybe we shouldn’t give them any more ideas. We never talked. This conversation didn’t happen.
