It’s Vintage Farmhouses of Germantown Week!
Upstater Staff | December 15, 2014Looks like Christmas came a little for early for us, and you, too, if you like antique farmhouses. It’s like Santa himself dropped a whole sackful of gorgeous properties in the Columbia County town of Germantown under our tree, all wrapped up in paper and festooned with a bow. In case you’re not familiar with Germantown, it’s a small Hudson River burgh directly across the river from north Saugerties, and while it’s not a huge place (pop. less than 2000), it’s got some great things to recommend it: A cool market, river views, and a bumper crop of pretty-as-a-picture farmhouses on the real estate market. So put on your favorite ugly holiday sweater, pour yourself a big mug of cheer, and gaze at these lovelies, which we will be posting about throughout the week. Germantown is located approximately 15 minutes from Hudson and about 2 hours from NYC.
