This Week on Upstater: The Mid-Mods of Westchester County

Let’s just get this out of the way: Nobody is going to argue that Westchester County is “upstate” New York. However, while perusing the listings for luxury homes last week in the Hudson Valley/Catskills, we found a motherlode of Mid-Century Modern homes in WCC. We’re not made of stone, after all, and we know cool houses when we see them.
Besides, we’ve been investigating some of the Westchester riverside communities of late, and we’re liking what we’re seeing, both in terms of housing stock and the vibe of the communities themselves. Keep your eyes peeled for the summer 2016 issue of Upstater Magazine for more on that. Meanwhile, all this week, let’s take a tour of the Mid-Century Modern homes on the market and revel in their sleek classiness that somehow manages to be both timeless and a throw-back. Or maybe that’s just us, but we highly doubt it. Stay tuned…
