Log Home Love from Chichester, NY
Kandy Harris | August 18, 2014Back in July, Chronogram featured this log house in Chichester in their Home Profiles section. The article hinted that at some point, owners Frank Marrazzo and Belen Millan might put the house on the market in order to downsize a bit. Indeed, 111 Stony Clove Lane, Chichester is now on the market priced at $1.29 million, and this prompted us to have a look around the neighborhood at what else is available. The Marrazzo/Millan property isn’t the only log home on the block. Turns out, there’s quite a bit of knotty pine for sale in the small hamlet just north of Phoenicia in Ulster County. Of the 8 single family properties on the Chichester market, 4 are log houses. Okay, yes, that’s not a very robust market, but nonetheless, let’s delve in and look at what the area has the offer. Chichester is located 3 miles north of Phoenicia, 40 minutes northwest of Kingston, and just a bit over 2 hours from NYC.
