Spend enough time in Millbrook, Dutchess County and environs, and you’ll discover a lot of horse farms. Some very beautiful and expensive ones, as well. And while we have no beef with horse farms, it’s nice to find something different in the land of equine, like this contemporary dwelling out in the country, tucked away in a clearing just off Chestnut Ridge Road. By now, you’re probably familiar enough with our sensibilities to guess that we’re going to point straight to the glass walls as our favorite feature. Why shouldn’t we? If you’re going to live amongst nature, best to both bring it inside and attempt to blend in, and this house does both nicely. Cathedral ceilings, a stone and wood kitchen, a wrap-around deck, and a 22 acre lot size sealed the deal for us. Could be perfect for a buyer looking to feel like they’re on a permanent retreat.
